Nasal Allergy? Why am i writing this article? (allergic rhinitis / hay fever)

I suffer from nasal allergy and lately i have had some terrible days and i have wondered if i could do something to get rid of this. i have been to doctors but they suggest shots, nasal surgery and medication which all i would ideally like to avoid. After frustration from several days, this is what inspired me:

Here’s a question that was posed to the Dalai Lama:
“What thing about humanity surprises you the most?”
His answer was as follows:
“Man”
Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money
Then he sacrifices his money to recuperate his health
And then he is so anxious about the future that he doesn’t enjoy the present,
And as a result he doesn’t live in the present or the future
And he lives as if he’s never going to die, and then he dies having never really lived.

Now i have thought that i will do whatever it takes to control my allergies and also help others to know if i am successful and also learn from them!

Some of my early notes:

- there is a lot of information available online about various allergies etc. My goal here is to try and find use to follow do's and don't that could make a substantial difference to get allergies under control.

Some do's:

- exercise daily... make sure your are sweating... whenever i sweat during running, i usually see that i never get allergies that day!
- play in the sun... this works fantastic... playing a sport like football or tennis where you run and sweat is a great way to control allergies (and you enjoy at the same time too)
- shower after playing / running outdoors to remove pollen etc from air and body. change clothes.
- wash and change your bed sheets / covers every 2-4 days. Keep your home and bathroom clean of dust and mold
- use HEPA filters
- try to research more online and build immunity to counter the allergy! it is possible in most cases.

Some don'ts:

- don't get used to nasal sprays! they are addictive.
- don't let work be an excuse for not exercising. Remember - life is more important than money. Happiness is the key to success
